Twitter is the king of social networking apps, with millions of users worldwide, ranging from political leaders to ordinary people.
When Elon Musk bought the company, many announcements, name changes, subscription collection systems, blue tick, and many new projects came and got the hate of Twitter users. Today, the name ‘X’ has changed and continues to be a leading social networking site.
Despite the efforts of ex-Twitter employees and others, the introduction of alternative apps like ‘Blue Sky‘ has not been universally embraced, sparking a lively debate among netizens.
In that line, the Koo app was launched in India in 2020 by Bombinet Technologies, a Bangalore-headquartered company, to compete with Twitter (X). Abrameyya Radhakrishna and Mayank started it together.
Many features of this app have been adapted for Indians to use in Indian languages , including Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada. It grew into a huge company with a good reception and initially gained millions of users. 21 lakh people used it daily.
Day by day users of this processor, the company created many jobs, and thousands of people started working in it. But ‘X’ website, which was expected to collapse after the arrival of Elan, has turned into a well-earned social network and has started to make a comeback.
Due to this, many companies that started competing with the X platform lost and closed down. In that sequence, the ‘Koo’ app lost users and suffered a major financial collapse. Because of this, the employees were sent home in droves last year.
Despite the company’s efforts to bring the ‘Koo’ app back from its slump, its users are dwindling daily. This drove the company to the bottom. In this case, the company has officially announced that it will completely stop the ‘Koo’ app.
