The Family Star Movie OTT Release Date | Vijay Devarakonda Shines in This Heartfelt Family Drama!

Dil Raju has produced the film directed by Geetha Govindham film director Parashuram. The Family Star film, which did not garner much attention from the trailer itself, is now receiving mixed reviews. His new film “The Family Star” has caught attention even before its release. This movie seems to be different from the usual ones. Here, we will see how the film fares in that respect.

Storyline

Vijay Devarakonda plays the character of Govardhan in a middle class family. He falls in love with Mrinal Thakur who moves into his house. After learning the truth why he came to that house, Vijay Devarakonda leaves him. What happened after that? Why does the heroine chase the hero? Did the two merge? That is the story of the film.

About the Film ‘The Family Star’:

Govardhan (Vijay Devarakonda), fatherless and motherless, lives a middle-class life with his grandmother, an alcoholic elder brother, an elder brother who runs a business, two sisters-in-law and their children.

Indu (Mrunal Thakur), a college student who moves into his house, becomes close to the family. Govardhan – When Indu’s friendship turns to love, Govardhan goes into angry ‘Beast’ mode to reveal the truth that Indu has been dating his family for his own gain.

Vijay Devarakonda as the middle class youth Govardhan is going to be a perfect fit. From his anger towards the rich, to the way he runs his family on a budget, from that lungi-banyan, he has done it all perfectly.

A person who scores well in action sequences can also give some attention to dance sequences. Mrinal Thakur as Hindu. He is the only consolation of the film. She may come as a traditional heroine, but she also plays an important role in the story. There are no flaws in the acting either. He has done his job perfectly.

The hero-grandmother chemistry was more of a workout than the hero-heroine chemistry in the film. All the fights, pranks and pranks between the grandmother and grandson were beautifully displayed. Veteran actress Rohini Hattangadi’s mature performance as the grandmother also adds strength to this already well-written character.

Due to the success of Vijay Devarakonda-Parashuram’s previous film ‘Geetha Govindam’, there was some anticipation for this film. But, this ‘The Family Star’ has failed to fulfill that expectation as a family leader.

Sitting upright as a middle-class youth who has come forward to try something different, in the second half they shift the story to America and sort of trap us into the typical Telugu cinema template.

The problem is that it is not interesting! This ‘The Family Star’ is a very popular star in writing with reactionary dialogues and predictable scenes.

Cinematography:

KU Mohanan’s cinematographer is the only beauty in the America portion. Editor Marthand K. Venkatesh could have edited with some conscience. The film clocks in at 2 hours and 43 minutes, giving the feeling of sitting in a theater for two days.

Music:

Gopi Sundar’s songs and background music are very diverse. Although the fans have come out of the ‘Inkem Inkem‘ song from ‘Geetha Govindam’, it seems that he is not out yet. Come back Gobi! Apart from the lungi ads, the costumes of the hero and heroine are colorful.

The Family Star Movie OTT Release Date

It’s been reported Amazon Prime Video might have bought the rights to show the movie “Family Star.” But, there hasn’t been an official confirmation yet. If this news is true, viewers can probably watch “Family Star” on Amazon Prime Video about 45 days after it’s released in theaters.
